Thank you for visiting our website. I think it is a true reflection of me, my company, and my attitude. The name of the company, “Vista Encantada”, translates from Spanish to charming or enchanting view. Please notice our featured scene, which portrays my view of New Mexico. My perspective on the world is much like our featured scene – warm, quirky, colorful, kind.
I grew up in Albuquerque. In 1987, I graduated from Valley High School. In 1991, I graduated from UNM with a degree in Journalism and a minor in German. While in college, I became a licensed agent. I have been licensed for 19 years. Throughout my college years I worked at a small real estate office where I learned a company doesn’t have to be big in numbers of people to be highly productive. After 12 years with that company I decided to open my own. We are now in our 6th year of business.
As a young person, I was extremely shy. In fact, my nick name was “mute”. I was amazed to find my voice as I grew up and evolved into real estate. As a way of thanking the industry which showed me my voice, I have volunteered at the Albuquerque Metropolitan Board of Realtors (AMBR) for 9 years eventually becoming President of that organization in 2000-2001.
In the role of President, my world expanded with many new experiences, people, and places. I attended National Association of Realtor conventions all over the country. It was a wonderful and very rich adventure. I believe that sharing good fortune is important. I have organized many events for charities such as Joy Junction, Habitat for Humanity, and the American Cancer Society. It was my pleasure to also serve on many committees in the Realtor Association of New Mexico.
When I developed my company, Vista Encantada Realtors, LLC, I created what I call a Boutique setting. We are completely focused on our customers. Our customers are people. Our customers are families. Our customers are important. As our customer, You are a person. You are a family. You are important. I would only entrust the care of my customers to a very experienced team of professionals. We are structured in such a way that if I am unavailable, I have several licensed Agents to help in my stead.
In addition to our licensed Office Manager, Sue Struck, we have a licensed Transaction Manager, Connie Ryan who brings more than 20 years of experience along with her status as past President of AMBR and her Realtor of the Year award from 2003.
My Senior Sales Associate is Cathy Colvin who is the current AMBR President, and also the 2004 AMBR Salesperson of the year. I personally received the honor of AMBR Realtor of the Year for 2004. Combined, we have 2 past Presidents, the current President, 1 Salesperson of the Year and 3 Realtors of the Year and over 50 years of combined real estate experience.
